Getting to Kapellskär port
Kapellskär port lies on Sweden's east coast, northeast of Stockholm. For satnav, use Kapellskär, 760 15 Gräddö. Driving from Stockholm, follow the E18 towards Norrtälje, then the signs for "Hamn/Kapellskär". Parking at the terminal is run by the port operator Stockholms Hamnar.
If you're travelling without a car, SL bus routes 631 and 631X run to the port. The terminal is staffed daily from 6am to 10pm.
Check-in and departure
Check-in opens 2 hours before departure and closes 1 hour before departure, so allow plenty of time. If you have a vehicle, drive up to the check-in booths (sign C); foot passengers check in at the terminal building (sign B) and are taken to the ship by shuttle bus.
Bring valid photo ID: on board you'll need to show your boarding pass and may be asked to confirm your identity.
On board
The modern Superstar ships Finnsirius and Finncanopus run this route. On board you'll find several restaurants (à la carte, buffet, bistro and bar), a duty-free shop, the Premium Stellar Lounge, plus a sauna, spa, jacuzzi and fitness area; there's a Kids Corner for children. For the evening crossing it's worth booking a cabin - choices range from Economy cabins to the Owner's Suite, with accessible cabins and pet cabins also available.
Payment on board is card only, no cash. Finnlines bills in euros, so you won't need Swedish kronor for the crossing. Alcohol brought from ashore or bought in the on-board shop may not be consumed on board.
Vehicles, bikes and pets

Pets are welcome: a pet cabin is required on evening departures, but not on the daytime Kapellskär - Långnäs - Naantali sailings. A maximum of two pets travel per cabin, dogs must be kept on a lead outside the cabin, and the car deck stays closed during the crossing. Arrival in Naantali and onward travel
The ferry docks in Naantali at Satamatie 9, in the greater Turku area on Finland's southwest coast. The terminal has paid parking (Aimo Park) and a small bike rack.
Without your own vehicle, Föli bus route N14 gets you into Naantali centre in a few minutes; from there, Föli routes 6 or 6A continue on to Turku. Turku is the natural starting point for heading on towards Helsinki in the south.

Finnlines offers the crossing in two fare types: SPECIAL and STANDARD. The SPECIAL fare is cheaper but limited in availability, and can only be booked before check-in opens; the STANDARD fare costs more but is flexible to change and stays available as long as there's capacity.
